Hyderabad is the capital of Telangana state.
With a population of appx 7 million, it is the one of the largest cities of India. Hyderabad lies in the Deccan Tableland in the southern part of the Indian sub-continent, about 900m above sea level.
Thus, the tropical city has a very salubrious climate, with temperatures ranging between 13 and 40 degrees centigrade.
A cosmopolitan city: Over 50% of the populations of Hyderabad are migrants from other parts of India, Telugu , Urdu, Hindi and English is the main language.
Hyderabad is well known for the presence of Space and Aircraft Research and Manufacturing organisations like HAL, ISRO, NAL etc.
Hyderabad is also home to top ranked educational institutions like Nalsar, ISB,Osmania University, JNTUH, Hyderabad University and is the one of biggest centre of the Indian Software Industry . Well-known multinational firms in the IT field have their operations here. Hyderabad is one of the largest exporters of IT Services and Pharma products. Around 100 pharma firms with many internationally renowned companies are also located in Hyderabad.
ASHRAE Deccan Chapter with over 50 members caters to the requirements of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states with members from Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam ( being major bussiness of Andhra Pradesh states ).

ASHRAE Deccan Chapter was chartered on 23rd Feb 2011 by Ms Lynn Bellenger
AIC becomes part of RAL in 2001.
ASHRAE Hyderabad Chapter also achieved Chapter Goal and Challenge Goal and Hi 5 Goal for the year 2011 - 2012
Mr. N.S Chandrasekhar becomes member of ASHRAE Hand book publication committee member in the year 2015
Mr. Srikanth Papineni, Membership Chair, receives the Lincoln Bullion Award 2014 for membership promotion over last 5 years .
